The US Department of the Treasury has not released guidance on many of the questions left open by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.  These open questions raise questions of uncertainty and, thus, the foregoing discussion on the website regarding the various aspects of the Opportunity Zone program is based upon positions that we believe to be reasonable given the statute as currently written and prior Treasury and IRS precedent, however, there can be no assurance that the forgoing discussion will ultimately prove to be correct as Treasury will be issuing further guidance and regulations on the Opportunity Zone program. Given such uncertainty, each prospective investor should consult with their personal tax advisers before making any investment into an opportunity fund, including the OPA Opportunity Fund.

The OPA Opportunity Funds represent wholly owned private equity real estate investment funds.  OPA utilizes both internal relationships as well as strategic real estate industry alliance network partners in actively sourcing and curating OPA Opportunity Fund real estate assets within the prescribed Opportunity Zone program.  In all OPA Opportunity Funds, the OPA Opportunity Fund acts as the general partner in actively managing all of the real estate assets within the respective OPA Opportunity Fund.  Although OPA may, from time to time, appoint asset and/or property management entities to oversee and report back to OPA on the day-to-day activities of the fund assets, in all cases said entities act solely as Agents of the OPA Opportunity Fund.
